Apuglia is a southern region that forms the "heel" of the Italian boot. It is famous for its hilly villages with their characteristic white plaster, for the countryside with its ancient flavour and for the hundreds of kilometres of Mediterranean coast.

The journey of discovery of this land starts from the Gargano, also known as the "Spur of Italy", which coincides with the homonymous mountainous promontory that extends in the northern part of Puglia and corresponds to the eastern part of the Province of Foggia.
Here nature reigns supreme. Along the coast, from Peschici to Vieste, spectacular inlets and caves boast golden beaches and crystal clear sea, in the hinterland nature excels with the forest of the Gargano National Park and the famous Umbra Forest, to be explored by bike, on horseback or on foot.
Passing through the capital, Bari, a lively port and university city, you reach Polignano, a promontory overlooking the Adriatic Sea, famous for being the birthplace of Domenico Modugno, from there to Monopoli the fishing village of the Adriatic, which has preserved the charm of its history and its traditions.
In the hinterland, where the Murgia slopes down, you can discover the Valle d'Itria with Alberobello and Locorotondo, the home of the Trulli, traditional buildings in white stone with a characteristic conical roof.
From here, continuing southwards, we reach Salento, which extends from Brindisi on the Adriatic side to Taranto on the Ionian side. In the heart of Salento we find Lecce, known as the "Florence of the South" because of its baroque architecture, from here we continue towards Otranto with its magnificent "Cave of Poetry" and along the coast road we reach the end of Italy Santa Maria di Leuca where the two seas, Adriatic and Ionian merge. Climbing up the boot you will reach another fundamental destination of this journey to discover Puglia, namely Gallipoli, a town on the Apulian coast whose historic center is located on an island off the coast, reached by crossing a stone bridge, from which is spectacular view of the Sunset.
The discovery of Puglia ends in the Ionic arch of Taranto including the towns of TarantoCastellaneta Marina and Marina di Ginosa.
Apulia is waiting for you. Let yourself be conquered by this extraordinary land.
